Alena Bagoly grew up in Upstate New York, and began classical ballet training at age four through the Myers Ballet School in Schenectady, New York. Through several summer seasons Alena attended various intensive programs with American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet, and attended New York State Summer School of the Arts Ballet, where she received training under the direction of Damien Woetzel and members of the New York City Ballet during the companies summer season in Saratoga Springs. At age fifteen Alena began dancing as a company member of Northeast Ballet Company, under the direction of Darlene Myers in Schenectady. With the company, Alena has performed in The Nutcracker, Stories that Dance, Schenectady Art Night and Melodies of Christmas, along with various spring workshops and summer recitals. A move to Bozeman in 2013 introduced Alena to the MSU Dance club and IndepenDance project. From there Alena made the connections which have placed her as proud company member of Raison D'etre Dance Project. Alena has a B.S in Sustainable Agriculture from Montana State University and works for a local farm, Gallatin Valley Botanical.
