Maia Fée - Instructor

Maia Fée is a dancer and choreographer originally from Boulder, Colorado. She began her classical ballet training at the Denver Ballet Theatre under the direction of David Taylor and continued her studies at Boulder Ballet under Ana Claire and Amy Earnest, where she performed numerous leading and corps roles. She later joined Sumi Komo Dance Works as a company member, collaborating and performing in the company’s original repertoire.
Maia earned her BFA in Dance and a double major in Journalism from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. During her time at NYU, she performed contemporary works by Sasha Waltz, Kyle Marshall, and Seán Curran, and premiered two original choreographic pieces of her own. She also studied abroad in Prague, training with the Czech National Ballet and working closely with Renata Sabongui in Pilates.
Maia’s artistic practice explores how movement shapes our understanding of the world and deepens the connection between body and mind.
